So to clarify this the default gateway of the management ip address of esxi host is an internal vnic of a virtual router VM on the same host...not able to get this to work ! Any pointers appreciated...

This may be from the limited OpenGL support that vSGA offers. Currently it only supports up to OpenGL 2.1. If NX requires OpenGL 3.0 and up it will not display the model correctly.
