Hi Jim!

Thanks a lot for your response and help!!

I've done the changes in the configuration file for the CPUinfo appliance from VMware.

Here's before:

Here's after:

Jim, I want to let you know exactly what we are trying to do.

We are trying to use the IBM Virtual Pattern Kit for Developers in a VMware Workstation 9.0 environment.
On top of Workstation we are running two ESXi hypervisors, one for VPKFD and the other to use as the deploying hypervisor.

While we've been successful on the setup for virtual pattern kit for developers (Same tool as Workload Deployer and PureApplications) when it comes the time to deploy any pattern we get the error that no hardware PVUs and provided as follows:

Somehow the pvu table (which you can upload to the system, an example is attached) does not include the processor in our development workstations:

Meanwhile, IBM devs are already aware of it.

So, the solution we are trying to approach is for ESXi to recognize our VMware workstation as any of the CPUs included in the XML pvu table. So far without success...

Anyway I wanted to let you know what we are doing so that maybe your experience can guide us to achieve what we are trying to do.

Cheers!

Thanks so much Jim,

Nicolas E.
