Hi All,
I am trying to create a virtual machine of PC-BSD release 9.1 64 bit in VMware Workstation version 9.0.2 build-1031769 based on PCBSD9.1-x64-DVD.iso downloaded from ftp://mirrors.isc.org/pub/pcbsd/9.1/amd64/PCBSD9.1-x64-DVD.iso in Windows 7 64 bits system. I tried my creation at two different Windows resolutions (1280x1024 and 1920X1200), if I chose "Yes" in "Confirm Resolution" window to keep the autodetect during the VM creation, then after the whole creation process finished, and logined as the created user in PC-BSD VM, the task bar doesn't appear in the bottom below the desktop in both cases. If I powered off the VM, and changed the Display setting to "Specificy monitor settings" with "Maximum resolution" set to "1024 x 768" by "Virtual Machine Settings" in VMware Workstation, and repower on the VM, then the task bar appears on the bottom below the desktop after login in both cases.
I have created the same virtual machine of PC-BSD release 9.1 64 bit in VMware Workstation version 9.0.1 from the same PCBSD9.1-x64-DVD.iso file in VMware Workstation version 9.0.1 before I updated to version 9.0.2, if my recall is correct, I could keep "autodetect" for Display, and saw the task bar of PC-BSD below the desktop in the VM created in VMware Workstation version 9.0.1. And the VM created in VMware Workstation version 9.0.1
can keep Display in "autodetect" mode and show the task bar of PC-BSD in VMware Workstation version 9.0.2.
Any one have the same issue? Did I miss any steps? How to resolve the issue and keep Display setting in "autodect" in VMware Workstation version 9.0.2?
Thanks.
