On my old MacBook Pro it had a built-in SuperDrive and while it worked at times it didn't at other times, was a pain in the a**! My new MacBook Pro doesn't have a built-in SuperDrive however I've been using a USB SuperDrive plugged into my Thunderbolt Display and I've already use it without any issue more then I did the built-in SuperDrive over the previous 7 years. Because of that alone I'll not bitch about paying the $79.00 USD for it. Image may be NSFW.
Clik here to view. BTW I never install to a Virtual Machine from optical media and alway use ISO Images. I use the USB SuperDrive more for optical backups then anything else.
