Hi Frank,
Well this is a bit embarrassing. It was the incorrect tagging on the switch port. I had a lightbulb moment when i could no longer vMotion between hosts within the VSA cluster itself. After that, I could also vMotion between non-VSA and the VSA clusters using the full desktop client as well.
